
The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America will hold its 2025 Open Water National Championship n December 13 at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Florida.
The event — which began in Kansas and was most recently held at Florida International University in Miami — will be hosted in partnership with Visit Sarasota. As in previous years, the championship is open to all CSCAA member institutions, and participation details — including registration information and hotel accommodations — will be shared on the CSCAA website in the coming weeks.
“This is a tremendous opportunity to showcase collegiate open water swimming in one of the nation’s best venues,” said CSCAA Executive Director Samantha Barany. “We’re thrilled to bring this championship to Sarasota and are grateful for our partners at Visit Sarasota for helping make it possible.”

Nathan Benderson Park’s open water venue has hosted several events over the years, including being a regular home for the USRowing Youth National Championships since 2015. The lake was the site of the 2016 and 2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Rowing and the 2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Canoe/Kayak.
USA Swimming‘s Open Water National & Junior National Championships will return to Nathan Benderson Park from April 2–4, 2026, marking the fourth consecutive Open Water National & Junior National Championships hosted in Sarasota.
