USA Bobsled/Skeleton Turns to AI for Insights

USA Bobsled/Skeleton is turning to AI to help its athletes gain the extra edge the sport requires to make the podium. Snowflake, an AI data cloud company, has become the official data cloud provider for the national governing body in the months leading up to the 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Milan-Cortina.

Under the deal, USABS will leverage Snowflake’s data and AI to drive its performance strategy to support athletes, optimize sled technology and enhance strategic decision-making on the track. USABS will also be able to harness real-time data and AI for sophisticated data analytics aimed at improving every aspect of sled performance and athlete technique. Specifically, the NGB hopes to optimize its athletes’ push combinations and deconstruct the start motions to offer deeper analysis of the run down the track.

The deal is the latest in the Olympic space for Snowflake, which earlier this year announced a three-year partnership as the official data collaboration provider for Team USA and the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.
