USA Cycling will expand its 2026 Paracycling National Calendar to increase race opportunities, improve access to classification and strengthen the athlete development pathway across the United States. With events running January through July, the calendar will feature eight race weekends, three national classification events and multiple race starts for athletes.
The new calendar will also incorporate paracycling at established events such as Valley of the Sun Stage Race, Tulsa Tough and Tour of America’s Dairyland, with a goal of allowing more athletes to compete in front of bigger crowds and in well-supported environments.
“This expanded calendar is about opening more doors for current and future para-athletes,” said Eric Bennett, USA Cycling’s director of membership. “By adding more classification sites and building Paracycling into major events, we are making it easier to get started in the sport and stay on a clear development path.”
Each event on the calendar will offer multiple race opportunities for handcyclists, C-class, T-class and VI tandem athletes, with a mix of time trials, road races, criteriums and circuit races
USA Cycling will also expand the calendar from one primary classification event to three national classification sites, giving athletes more flexibility in when and where they complete the process.
“Visibility leads to participation, and participation builds stronger athletes,” said Gordon Harrison, USA Cycling’s senior manager of sport development programs. “This calendar puts Paracycling on national-level courses and in communities that are ready to support and celebrate these athletes.”
The 2026 Paracycling Calendar will consist of the following events:
- Swamp Classic,* Gainesville, Florida — January 3–February 2
- Valley of the Sun,* Phoenix — February 13–15
- Victor Valley Omnium, Victorville, California — February 27–March 1
- Outdoor Capital Classic, Jackson, Georgia — March 21–22
