Lake Placid, New York, could be the host for bobsled, luge and skeleton in the 2026 Olympic Winter Games should the sliding venue in Cortina d’Ampezzo not be completed by March 2025.

The @NFL will play its first-ever regular season game in Berlin, Germany, in 2025 as the league expands its global footprint. The 2025 NFL Berlin game will be played at the Olympic Stadium as part of a multiyear commitment to playing games in the city.

The Athens Marathon goes by “The Authentic” for obvious reasons. Running where the marathon began and finishing in the stadium of the original modern Olympics, participants get a true once-in-a-lifetime experience. But the race is serious business and includes a 10K, a 5K and a 1,200-meter kids race. According to a study by Deloitte, it also brings in 45,000 visitors, half of which have never visited Greece before, fills hotels to 95 percent capacity, creates 18,240 jobs and generates an estimated 7 million Euros to the local economy.
