Visit Greenville, Play Greenville Sports Welcomes Joshua Meeks

Joshua Meeks has been named the new sales and services assistant at Visit Greenville and Play Greenville, NC Sports.

Meeks will assist in strengthening relationships with local venues and event vendors, as well as ensuring the organization and execution of booked tournaments and events in Pitt County. Meeks attended East Carolina University, where he earned both a Bachelor of Science in Sports Studies and a Masters in Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality with a concentration in Sports Management.

“I am excited for the opportunity to help increase the sports and tourism footprint for the Pitt County area” said Meeks. “I hope to help build a stronger Eastern North Carolina in this position.”

During his time at ECU, Meeks was a digital and social media marketing intern with ECU Athletics and as the Pirate Club’s communication assistant. After graduating from ECU, Meeks worked as an intern for Barton Athletics.

“We are excited to be adding Joshua as our new Sales & Services Assistant,” said Visit Greenville President and Chief Executive Officer Andrew Schmidt. “His diverse skill set will add tremendous value to our groups that choose Greenville-Pitt County as their meeting and tournament destination.”
