The 2023 Junior Tour Powered by Under Armour World Championship will start Tuesday, July 18, at Reunion Resort in Kissimmee, Florida with approximately 550 young athletes from 35 countries, competing across various age divisions for boys and girls.
“We are thrilled to welcome the more than 500 athletes from 35 different countries to Kissimmee for this golf world championship event,” said Jessica Beers, executive director of Kissimmee Sports Commission. “The Under Armour World Championship not only showcases the incredible talent of these young athletes but also fosters a sense of camaraderie and friendship among participants from diverse backgrounds. Hosting this event in Kissimmee provides an opportunity to celebrate the future of golf while embracing the vibrant spirit of our community.”
The tour is a national youth league that operates during the spring season with a summer national championship and then in the fall season with a winter national championship in February.
“We are excited to showcase our golf courses to athletes from around the world,” said Tyler Weyant, director of sports development at Kissimmee Sports Commission. “The Junior Tour Powered by Under Armour World Championship provides an incredible opportunity for these young golfers to test their skills on our award-winning courses. We also encourage athletes, parents and spectators to take some time and enjoy all that makes Kissimmee a unique tourism destination.”
The Kissimmee Sports Commission is a brand extension that falls under Experience Kissimmee, the tourism sales and marketing authority for Osceola County.
