The McCracken County Sports Tourism Commission and the Sports Facilities Companies have announced Chas Heeren as the general manager of Paducah Sports Park in Kentucky, slated for completion in the fall of 2025.
“I’m excited to be named the general manager of the Paducah Sports Park,” said Heeren. “The opportunity to live in the city of Paducah and help launch this amazing venue is something I couldn’t pass up. Working in the non-profit sector for the majority of my career, I’ve seen firsthand the positive impact you can have on people’s lives and I know this venue will do that same for the city of Paducah and beyond.”
Heeren previously served as SFC’s regional finance manager and brings 28 years of experience to Paducah. Her career includes tenure in the non-profit sector where she increased net worth and streamlined operations for multiple organizations.
“We are thrilled to have Chas Heeren lead the Paducah Sports Park,” said Todd Yancey, SFC’s vice president of venue management. “Her expertise in finance and operations will be invaluable in realizing the vision for this facility and fostering a vibrant community sports culture.”
The 130-acre Paducah Sports Park, located on the former sites of Bluegrass Downs and Stewart Nelson Park, will offer a variety of sports including baseball, softball, soccer and football. The venue plans to host tournaments, leagues and community programs.
“The Paducah Sports Park is a testament to our community’s dedication to growth and recreation,” said Jim Dudley, McCracken County Sports Tourism Commission chairman. “We are eager to see the positive impact it will have on our local economy and residents’ quality of life.”
