The city of Greer, South Carolina, and Prisma Health have announced a 10-year, $3 million naming rights partnership for the city’s new sports and events center.
The 200,000 square-foot facility will be called the Prisma Health Performance Center, reflecting a shared commitment to drive community wellness, recreation and economic development in Greer.
Currently under construction, the Prisma Health Performance Center will have amenities such as nine basketball courts, which will convert to 18 volleyball courts, a fitness center, elevated walking track, dedicated wrestling room, and a cafe. The center will host youth and adult sports, recreation programming for all ages, and community events while creating opportunities for health education and wellness programming.
The center will also house Prisma Health orthopedic and rehabilitation services, expanding access to specialized care while complementing the facility’s amenities and local programming.
“Prisma Health has cared for generations of Greer families and has repeatedly invested to expand medical services to meet the needs of our growing communities,” said Greer Mayor Rick Danner. “With this new multi-year partnership, Prisma Health is coming alongside the City of Greer to support a facility that will bring people together, create new opportunities for wellness and recreation, and serve as a point of pride in our community.”
Community Use
“We are proud to partner with the city of Greer on a project that will have a lasting impact on the community,” said Todd Walker, CEO of Prisma Health Greer Memorial Hospital. “The Prisma Health Performance Center will be a place where families gather, children and athletes pursue their goals, and people of all ages find opportunities to stay active and connected.
“With sports, recreation, orthopedic care and rehabilitation services all in one location, the center will help support healthier lives while bringing people together. We look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on Greer and communities across the Upstate.”
On track to open in early 2027, the Prisma Health Performance Center at 1529 S. Highway 14 will host a range of activities for Greer residents and the greater Greer community, including basketball, volleyball, wrestling, camps and senior programs. The facility has already drawn interest from travel tournament organizers who want to bring their events to Greer.
