U.S. Ski & Snowboard has announced a multi-year partnership with Pirelli Tire.

The agreement with Pirelli Tire is designed to strengthen the company’s presence in one of its most strategic global markets, while expanding its growing portfolio of sports partnerships across North America.

Built on its reputation for innovation, technology, and performance over its 150-plus-year history, sport has remained a fundamental part of Pirelli’s identity.

The company has been the exclusive tire supplier to the Formula One World Championship since 2011, as well as in the MotoGP (from 2027), Moto2, and Moto3 categories. Beyond motorsport, its sporting heritage extends to soccer (Inter Milan sponsorship), cycling (tires for the TREK Factory Racing team), tennis (official tire partner of the Australian Open and platinum sponsor of the Miami Open), and sailing (co-title sponsor, official sponsor, and technical partner to the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli team for the America’s Cup).

Plans to Activate

“The U.S. is a key market for Pirelli, and this partnership represents another important step in strengthening our relationship with consumers across the country,” said Pirelli North America CEO Claudio Zanardo. “Whether it’s navigating winter roads to reach the mountains or competing at the highest level of international sport, performance, confidence, and control matter. Those are the same qualities that define Pirelli’s products, making U.S. Ski & Snowboard a natural partner for our brand.”

Pirelli said that it plans to activate around athlete-led content, digital and broadcast media, and additional experiences, as well as having a presence on the Stifel U.S. Alpine Ski Team uniforms and at domestic alpine World Cup events.

“Pirelli’s reputation for performance and precision reflects exactly what our athletes demand from every piece of equipment they trust,” said Sophie Goldschmidt, who has served as president and CEO of U.S. Ski & Snowboard since 2021. “This partnership connects us with a brand that shares our commitment to excellence, and we look forward to representing Pirelli across the world’s biggest stages.”

Success on the Slopes

In February, U.S. Ski & Snowboard sent 97 athletes to the Olympic Winter Games in Milan Cortina, Italy, 73 from the Stifel U.S. Ski Team and 24 from the Hydro Flask U.S. Snowboard Team. Overall, following 19 days of competition across Northern Italy, those athletes secured 17 medals at the 2026 Olympic Winter Games, including eight in freestyle skiing, four in alpine skiing, three in cross-country skiing, and two in the snowboard events.

Meanwhile, Team USA’s total of 33 medals in Italy surpassed its previous record of 28 (from Sochi 2014) for an Olympic Winter Games held outside of North America, and was eight more than it won at the previous Winter Games (Beijing 2022). Its 12 gold medals was also the most in Winter Games history, surpassing the 10 from Salt Lake City in 2002. In addition, Team USA brought home 12 silvers and nine bronze medals.

In the 2026 Paralympic Winter Games, Team USA secured 24 medals in total, including 11 in para cross-country skiing, six in para snowboard, and two in para alpine skiing.
