The college football season is two weeks old and the sport has already revived its reputation for being delightfully unpredictable. Already this month has featured a controversial, Hail Mary finish between Michigan and Western Michigan at the Big House, a goal-post toppling upset by Oklahoma State over No. 6 Oregon in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and a contender for Game of the Decade with No. 4 Texas coming from 20 points down in the fourth quarter to beat No. 1 Ohio State in Austin.

You may never know what type of game you’ll get, but there are plenty of places where you can be sure you’ll enjoy your surroundings. Albertsons Stadium (Boise State Broncos)

Location: Boise, Idaho

Boise State’s Albertsons Stadium is striking on television, thanks to its bright blue AstroTurf field. Grabbing a seat inside the venue unveils a backdrop of the Boise Foothills, contrasting the artificial turf with natural views.

Autzen Stadium (Oregon Ducks)

Location: Eugene, Oregon
Ideal matchup: Michigan at Oregon (Saturday, November 14)

Autzen Stadium, home to the Oregon Ducks, holds 54,000 seats and boasts views of the Cascade Range on clear days. The Ducks will be hunting a crucial late-season win when Michigan comes calling Oregon’s penultimate home game of the season.

Bobby Dodd Stadium (Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets)

Folsom Field (Colorado Buffaloes)

Multiple viewpoints across Folsom Field, which sits at an elevation of 5,360 feet above sea level, feature glimpses of the breathtaking Rocky Mountains. The stadium seats just over 50,000 fans, and games have been packed lately thanks to the resurgence in interest brought by fourth-year head coach Deion Sanders. Expect a full house for what should be the first of two straight ranked opponents at Folsom Field.

Husky Stadium (Washington Huskies)

Location: Seattle, Washington

Many seats in Washington’s Husky Stadium feature a view of Lake Washington, downtown Seattle and two mountain ranges: the Cascade Mountains and the Olympic Mountain Range. The venue seats more than 72,000 fans, making it the largest stadium in the Pacific Northwest, and it will be full of purple for the home finale against the reigning national champions.

Kidd Brewer Stadium (Appalachian State Mountaineers)

LaVell Edwards Stadium (BYU Cougars)

Michie Stadium Preserved by USAA (Army Black Knights)

Michie Stadium Preserved by USAA, home of the Army Black Knights, completed two years of renovations this September. The project included a complete transformation of the East Stands and created new premium seating and hospitality areas. Aside from the new interior, many visitors can catch a view of the Lusk Reservoir nestled just outside the venue. This will be the Black Knights’ only on-campus game against a fellow service academy this season.

Rose Bowl (UCLA Bruins)

Location: Pasadena, California

There’s no better viewpoint to end a scenic season with than a seat at the Rose Bowl. The historic venue is home to UCLA Bruins football and the iconic postseason Rose Bowl Game each year, and the Bruins’ matchup with the neighboring USC Trojans sets up for a perfect ending in view of the San Gabriel Mountains.

Sun Bowl (UTEP Miners)

Location: El Paso, Texas
