USA Track & Field Reports $44.5 Million in Revenue

USA Track & Field is having a moment.

The national governing body has announced that it secured $44.5 million in audited revenue in 2024, the largest in the organization’s history and a nearly $8 million increase from 2023. The milestone continues a trend that has seen the NGB record 10 years of considerable growth and three years of steady recovery from the pandemic years.

The 2024 year also marked the final year of USATF’s investment in the 2022 World Athletics Championships, which were held in Eugene, Oregon — the first time the event was staged in the United States. The commitment to that event — more than $10 million — accounted for the NGB’s largest expense in 2024, a year after it paid $8 million in expenses related to the event in 2023.

The year also saw USATF increase its investment in sports performance by more than $2 million for a total of $10.5 million. Its spending on elite athlete competitions grew $800,000 for a total of $15 million. The NGB saw results from the spending, with the United States dominating the medal count in track and field at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, securing 34 total medals, including 14 golds. At the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Team USA secured 16 gold medals, which was a championship record.
