The Little Rock (Arkansas) Convention & Visitors Bureau has announced the promotion of Adam Berrios to vice president of sales and services; a position that drives the organization’s key role in attracting meetings, conventions and sporting events to Arkansas’ capital city.
As vice president, Berrios plans and directs all activities of the sales department, group travel and client services, and the destination services team. In addition, he leads hotel partner relations.
“Adam is a proven leader,” said LRCVB President and Chief Executive Officer Gina Gemberling. “His strategic-driven approach to business development has been instrumental as we have continued to navigate through the worst economic season our industry has weathered.”
Berrios joined the LRCVB in March 2021 as the bureau’s director of sales, bringing more than 10 years of convention and visitors bureau experience.
Despite the challenges 2021 brought, Berrios led his team to secure 100 meetings, conventions and sporting events to Little Rock, bringing nearly 95,000 attendees and $25 million in direct spending. The team also booked future business equating to 37,000 room nights, more than 65,000 attendees and an estimated $17 million in direct spend.
“The time is now for Little Rock,” said Berrios. “Business is returning and our destination is poised to capitalize. Our brand is strong, our product is solid and our team is primed. Together, we’re positioning our city in a way that is attracting quality events that will further drive our success.”
Prior to joining the LRCVB, Berrios was senior sales manager with VisitGreenvilleSC and the Alpharetta (Georgia) Convention and Visitors Bureau.
