The Importance Of Specialization

From the launch of SportsTravel magazine in 1997, we have approached the sports-event industry as a market segment deserving of its own resources. Sports-event organizers have different needs and concerns than their meetings-industry counterparts at non-sports organizations. And while we have always seen the value in pitching the largest tent possible for the sports-event industry, we also see great value in publishing this magazine and organizing the TEAMS Conference specifically for people who work in sports. (For the non-sports audience, we organize the Meetings Quest series of trade shows, which features
content for corporate and association meeting planners.)
